During the week of June 2nd to June 5th, it will be held on Buenos Aires the third festival “Emerging City” organizad by the Ministry of Culture of the City.

The aims of this Event are to spread the young culture, presenting artistic events such as street art, animation, poetry, fashion, film and digital art.

The event takes place in the Recoleta cultural center as well as in its first two editions.

In 2008 there were a total attendance of 50 000 people, which was a great success for this movement. However, in 2009 it doubled to 100 000 spectator at the festival which led to a greater degree of importance.

In previous editions the reading of youth culture, the fashion shows, digital art and listening to records lead to the exchange of ideas.

The music as well as pop and rock have taken a big step. Also, hip hop was present through street dancing.

Together with the “Independent Film Festival” the films have attracted the attention of the spectators, another way to improve this great event.

A new record of Tourism in Buenos Aires

Tourist-Easter

Last week has left a significant number of tourists in the Buenos Aires city.

Marketing strategies in our market have worked amazingly well.

We had a good number of tourists coming from Rio de Janeiro, San Pablo, Belo Horizonte, Montevideo, Bogota, Madrid, Berlin, New York, Miami, among others.

We estimate that during the Easter of 2010 more than 250 thousand tourists came to Buenos Aires.

Rentals of apartments and hotels hit an 85% of occupancy, 10% more than 2009.

These numbers show that promotions are helping to improve the quantity of visitors, and our market it’s getting stronger and stronger.

We hope to continue having new visitors!
