This colonial house is located in the heart of the historic neighborhood of San Telmo, only 2 blocks from Plaza Dorrego, one of the centers of tourism in Buenos Aires. It was built in 1887 in the “chorizo” style, meaning that the varios rooms are connected by a long patio, and has been completely renovated in a way that has preserved the original structure and craftsmanship. Inside, one finds a nice mix of antique and modern furniture. The living room looks out into the patio. The dining room has a table that can seat 10, complete sets of silverware and tablecloths. The kitchen is connected to the dining room. Beneath the ground floor, one finds a lovely wine cellar stocked with the finest Argentinian wines. There are two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, a complete bathroom, and a huge window that looks out onto the garden and pool. The second bedroom has two single beds and connects to a bathroom with a shower. The house is equipped with high-speed Internet, cable TV, a stereo and more. Outside, the garden, pool and solarium (shared with 2 other units on the property) help to create an oasis in the busy city. From San Telmo, it is easy to reach other parts of the city because there is plenty of transportation available. Maid and babysitting services are available for a fee upon request.
